After graduating from the University of Guelph in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics and from Saint Mary's University in 1984 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Fred earned his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation. Fred then began to work in the insurance sector and became the President of CEO of Morison Insurance Brokers Inc in 1994. Since then, Fred has grown the business from 1 to 8 locations and from 4 staff to more than 90 across Southern Ontario. Morison Insurance serves the entire province of Ontario. The journey of Morison Insurance was highlighted in 2015 when the brokerage was awarded the IBAO Brokerage of the Year and the IBAO Innovation of the Year award in 2019.
The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) represents over 12,000 brokers throughout Ontario. The annual awards ceremony highlights outstanding members' achievements through their work and care for their clients.
During his time owning and operating Morison Insurance, Fred held the position of Municipal Councillor of Ward 2 in Haldimand, Ontario, for 8 years. This allowed him to understand, interact and work with the citizens of Haldimand County.
In his spare time, Fred has begun the process of becoming a private pilot. With many hours of training under his belt and many hours in the clouds.
With more than 3 decades of experience in the insurance world and overseeing a staff of nearly 100, Fred is always looking to the best ways to provide Morison Insurance customers with continued excellent customer service and the best insurance options.
